The House system is a strong characteristic of Christ College and schools like it in the UK, and it will be a fundamental aspect of King Henry VIII College life, too.

The Junior School will have its own House system, designed to suit the daily life of pupils in Years 1 to 6, and to get them used to the notion of a group that has a shared identity and purpose.

When pupils move up to Year 7, or join the school in the Middle or Senior School, they are assigned to one of the Houses. The House names will refer to the history and location of our sister school in Brecon. Pupils remain in the same House for their time and King Henry VIII College: day pupils and boarders will join for the House Competitions - sure to be a central and memorable feature of the school, just as in Christ College.
