STUDENT LIFE

Co-Curricular Activities

Enriching experiences beyond the classroom — broadening skills, building character and discovering new passions.

BROADENING LEARNING

Co-Curricular Activities

The intent of the CCA programme is to provide a comprehensive range of extracurricular activities that complement and enhance our students' academic achievements. CCA subjects are designed to build character, leadership, and teamwork skills, enabling students to develop well-rounded personalities and become responsible, contributing members of society.

We achieve this by providing a diverse and inclusive range of subjects, including sports, arts, and community services. The programme is well-planned, implemented, and monitored to ensure that students have experiences that align with their interests and abilities. All activities are delivered by qualified and experienced teachers who foster learning, teamwork, and scholarship among students. Our CCA programme is flexible, enabling students to switch between activities while discovering new passions.

The activities programme takes place throughout the week. KH8 offers students the opportunity to take part in the Model United Nations (MUN) and attend conferences in Malaysia. The school regularly puts on theatrical and musical theatre productions, and students are often involved in other cultural, artistic and musical events and concerts.

A major focus for the school is sports. KH8 boasts a wide variety of sports clubs and teams which regularly compete against other international schools in the region. Some activities extend the academic and games programmes, making use of facilities or staffing expertise not available in usual times. Many will be in the sphere of Art, Graphics and Performance; others are stand-alone activities offered by talented staff — an opportunity for students to take up pastimes outside their customary schedule.

IMPACT

Why CCA Matters

Our CCA programme has a significant positive impact on the lives of our students, fostering leadership, social skills and a sense of purpose. Students develop resilience, independence and self-discipline through regular participation. Involvement in CCA builds strong relationships among peers as they work together to achieve common goals.

With our well-rounded CCA programme, we pride ourselves in producing graduates who are socially, emotionally and academically competent and ready for future leadership roles.
