In our Sixth Form we recognise that success extends beyond intelligence and emphasise the importance of passion and perseverance for long-term goals. We strive to create an environment that fosters determination, resilience, and a growth mindset, empowering our students to overcome challenges and thrive in their academic pursuits. By nurturing their passion and instilling a belief in their ability to learn and grow, we aim to equip our students with the skills and mindset necessary to tackle any obstacles they may face, both in their studies and in their future endeavours.

KH8 curriculum
For Life


These additional life skills provide further substance for a student’s university application. Each student will receive a Certificate of Recognition through our own KH8 Diploma.

  • Preparing students for university life
  • Providing guidance to their future careers
  • Coaching and mentoring students in their studies
  • Personal well-being through fitness and healthy eating
  • Philosophical thought in ‘big question’ debates to raise self-awareness
  • Sustainable communities through advocacy, service and charitable work
  • Cultural understanding through discussions from our diverse student and parent community

This is an aspirational concept, borne from wanting to formalise the highly sought after skills and qualifications more and more universities are seeking from students. We hope all students will aspire to gain this prestigious award.
The requirements for being awarded the KH8 Diploma are:

  • Completion of three A Levels
  • Completion of an International Research Project (IPQ)
  • Evidence of taking part in Super-Curricular Activities - these are activities that take part outside of school, lectures, workshops, podcasts, careers fairs.
  • Leadership and service within the school community, examples include; Student Leadership roles, House Captain, Sports Captain, Student Council Representative, leading on CCA's, delivering assemblies, PSHE or taking a lead within an academic subject area).
